Who We Are: The Mooney Caravan is a growing group of dedicated aviation enthusiasts from across North America who each year assemble in Madison, Wisconsin and fly in formation to arrive at the most significant aviation event in the world-EAA AirVenture/Oshkosh, This year will be the 23rd annual Mooney Caravan to Oshkosh. But we are not a once-a-year event. We hold formation and safety educational clinics regionally throughout the year. Our organization promotes safety, education, and formation flying skills. At EAA AirVenture/Oshkosh our venue is in a prime piece of real estate in the North 40. We base out of a large conference tent. We have daily events at our North 40 tent that focus on safety, flying and camaraderie. Our “brotherhood” camps together, eats together, learns together, and of course, flies together. Your association with our “band of brothers” will be highly visible and expand your marketing efforts.
How We Can Benefit You: Becoming a sponsor of the Mooney Caravan will not just expose you to the Caravan formation participants. Our group has been a focus of various aviation publications reporting on our activities. Our group is looked up to by others in the Mooney community. We are active in the Mooney type organization, MAPA, and we have a strong relationship with the factory (Mooney International). Our Caravan pilots likely fly more than the average GA pilot in all regions of the country and Canada. We are a “Target Rich” environment for your aviation goods and services.
Our North 40 aircraft camping location is a premier location to display your company's banner on our HQ tent. The site is on the main road that aircraft campers must traverse to get to the AirVenture grounds. Additionally, we produce several Mooney related events in the North 40 tent that attract many Mooney aircraft pilots not associated directly with the Caravan. Location, Location, Location, our site is a prime spot to market to any aircraft owner or pilot that camps at Oshkosh in the North 40.
We have an annual meet-and-greet event for our sponsors where you get a chance to tell our group something about your company and then have the time to mingle with our pilots and promote your goods and services. What better way of promoting your company in a social environment. You will be among friends.
How You Can Help Us: The Mooney Caravan is an event organized by the Mooney Caravan Safety and Education Foundation, a charitable organization under eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our board members manage all our formation and safety training, logistics, public relations, regulatory and EAA coordination. Your support of these efforts is greatly appreciated.
There are many ways to support and assist our efforts. Underwriting one of our events is a great way to get exposure and help our cause. Donation of a product or service is always appreciated. We have a prize raffle at our BBQ event. In the past many participants have flown away with some very fine prizes. Any cash donation will be assigned a purpose and promoted.
We will gladly affix your company's banner to our tent. Your logo and a link to your company's web site will be on our web site. Recognition in announcements to our group will be made.
